Programs & support

Connection that meets a real need

Our focus is LGBTIQA+ people experiencing serious distress, hardship or barriers to safe support. Being LGBTIQA+ or autistic alone is not evidence of distress; need-targeted support depends on the person's circumstances and available resources.

Program information is updated as places, funding and facilitators are confirmed. An enquiry is not a booking or a promise of financial support.

Rainbow Social Group · Partner-facilitated

headspace Caloundra, operated by Lives Lived Well, facilitates this Rainbow Social Group at The Nest. Sessions commenced in September 2026; the provider manages current registration, participant eligibility and its own clinical and safeguarding responsibilities.

The group is not a clinical service delivered by Sparkly Aliens Inc. Check current details with headspace Caloundra.

Rainbow Connections · Planned

Accessible, needs-led LGBTIQA+ peer connection through shared interests, creative activities and friendship. We are developing funding, supervision, appropriate safeguarding and subsidised places for people facing significant isolation or hardship.

Delivery dates and places are not confirmed.

Trans Connections · Planned

Community-led, age-appropriate, identity-safe peer opportunities for trans, non-binary and gender-diverse people. Participation will not require disclosure of gender history, medical choices or trauma.

Availability depends on safe facilitation, resources and community feedback.

Regional participation · Planned

Accessible regional outreach, transport or participation assistance where funded, and remote-access options for LGBTIQA+ people facing substantial access barriers. Sunshine Coast and surrounding regions are the practical starting focus.

National delivery is not yet established.

Education and leadership · Planned

Accessible health literacy, community-led workshops and LGBTIQA+ peer leadership. Education will support wellbeing, safety and the organisation's benevolent-relief purpose.

Participation opportunities will be announced once funded and organised.

Independent clinical and NDIS services

Some people need professional supports outside our community programs. Where requested, we can discuss consent-based referrals. Neurodivergent Empowered is a distinct legal entity offering separately contracted clinical and NDIS services, with its own registration and complaints responsibilities.

Choosing not to accept a referral does not prevent an enquiry with Sparkly Aliens Inc.

Access, choice and safeguards

We consider the individual barrier, how the support may relieve it, the person's preferences, accessibility needs, available resources and safeguarding. People can request communication alternatives, breaks, lower-sensory participation and safe contact choices. Children and young people have additional legal and practical safeguards.
